Protein is critical for tissue and muscle repair and recovery after a hard workout. Depending on training and nutrition goals, young athletes and masters athletes alike are looking to consume between 1.2 and 1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day. This can be difficult — particularly earlier in the day, immediately after a workout, or when you’re on the go!


A daily high-protein smoothie is a great habit and an easy way to elevate your nutrition game. This Creamy Blueberry Energy Smoothie is loaded with protein, healthy fats, fiber, and antioxidant-rich spinach and blueberries.


Made with six ingredients to give you a nutritious boost!


Ingredients:


1/4 cup Cashews

2 tbsps Hemp Seeds

1.5 cup Water

1 cup Baby Spinach

3/4 cup Frozen Blueberries

1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder


Directions:


Combine cashews, hemp seeds, protein powder, and water in a blender. Blend until very smooth.


Add in baby spinach and frozen blueberries. Blend again until smooth. Enjoy!
